    Abingdon FB field....

I have actually never attended a football game at Abingdon so I was just wondering if anyone on here had and if you could give me a heads up on anything like parking, etc.....

I assume the field is behind the high school and I know where all that is and actually a back way into the school but was just curious if that indeed is where it is located and if anyone knew of any good parking places that most wouldn't know about.

    Thanks in advance

That's where it's at. There is parking all around the school, front, a sidelot about the size of Burton's parking, and there's parking in the rear. There should be plenty of room for both groups.

I just remembered, there's actually more parking than that before you first get to the school. You should be fine.

I don't know how to get to it, but if you can, find the side lot parking because it will save you a lot of steps. Seating shouldn't be a problem at all. Its a big area with good space between the stands and sidelines. Think Gate City, but with more room.

Probably one of my favorite away sites to watch a game. Lots of room in the stands. Just be ready to walk if you park in the front of the school. Also you have to walk up a steep hill to get to the top of the away stands.

That was one thing I was wondering about, I am fat and don't wanna walk......to much. Just kidding. One day when working over there last week going in the back way to the school I noticed there was a parking lot just west of the school and when I looked online at an aerial map I noticed right close to the field a side parking lot so I am guessing that is how you get to it. Because I see a little road that leads to it from the back side which will be the way I was gonna go in anyway.

    Thank you Stripes.

Np man. I would guess you are right if you went by it the other day. The spot I am talking about is on the west end.
